The Kimberley Process, lab-grown diamonds, and how MOH London selects every stone we sell — transparency without compromise.
Diamonds are precious stones mined across the world. Diamond mines in Africa, Australia, Russia and Canada are the largest producers, and the diamond industry generates significant revenue — some African countries depend on the legal sale of diamonds to support basic healthcare and education for their people. Africa alone produces an estimated $8.5 billion worth of diamonds per year.
In parts of Africa, diamonds have been sold through illegal channels to fund warfare and violent campaigns. These illegally sold stones, traded in violation of all ethical standards, are known as conflict diamonds or blood diamonds.
To ensure we play no part in such practices, MOH London purchases exclusively from the most credible suppliers in the diamond industry — those who adhere to the standards set by the Kimberley Process. The Kimberley Process is an internationally recognised system that monitors the supply chain of diamonds from mine to market.
The diamond industry's partnership with governmental and non-governmental organisations, including the United Nations, has significantly reduced the trade in blood diamonds. MOH London maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds and supports the use of ethically sourced stones without exception.
We make it a priority to purchase diamonds from suppliers who adhere to high environmental standards. While refining processes are used worldwide to enhance the quality of naturally produced stones, some methods are harmful to the environment. To discourage such practices, MOH London supports the use of environmentally responsible diamonds only.
Beyond maintaining the quality of our products and ensuring that every diamond has been rigorously graded, we are committed to the legal, ethical and environmentally responsible buying and selling of diamonds at every stage of the supply chain.
